PimCue Privacy

Your snippets are
yours.

This policy explains how PimCue handles the information you choose to save and use.

Effective date: September 2, 2026

Overview

PimCue is a personal text library and custom keyboard for iPhone and iPad. It is designed to keep the snippets you save under your control. PimCue does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking SDKs.

Information you save in PimCue

PimCue stores the content you choose to create or import, including snippets, collections, variables, image attachments, favourites, and related settings. This content is stored locally on your device in a shared app container so that the PimCue app and PimCue Keyboard can use the same saved library.

The keyboard reads only the snippets that you saved in PimCue so it can insert a selected snippet into the current text field. PimCue does not read, record, or send the text you type in other apps to our servers.

Full Access for PimCue Keyboard

iOS requires users to enable Allow Full Access before a custom keyboard can share saved data with its containing app. PimCue uses this access solely to make your saved snippets and supported image snippets available to the keyboard. You can disable Allow Full Access at any time in iOS Settings; the keyboard will then no longer be able to read your saved library.

Optional iCloud sync

PimCue Pro can sync your saved library between your devices through Apple CloudKit. When you use this feature, your snippets, collections, variables, and supported image attachments are stored in a private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account. This information uses your iCloud storage and is transferred by Apple’s iCloud service so your devices can stay in sync.

PimCue does not operate its own content server. You can stop future syncing by not using the sync feature or by signing out of iCloud on the device. For more information about iCloud data controls, use the privacy and account controls provided by Apple.

Purchases

PimCue offers optional in-app purchases for PimCue Pro. Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment card number or other payment credentials. PimCue checks your purchase entitlement locally to unlock Pro features and lets you restore eligible purchases through Apple.

Backups and imported files

If you choose to export a backup, PimCue creates a JSON file containing your saved library and lets you choose where to save or share it. If you choose to import a backup, PimCue reads the file you select. These actions happen at your direction; you are responsible for the destination and security of any file you export.

Face ID and app lock

If you enable app lock, PimCue asks iOS to authenticate you with Face ID or your device passcode. PimCue does not receive or store your biometric information.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete individual snippets and collections in PimCue, restore or permanently remove items from its in-app trash, or remove the app and its local data. Export a backup before deleting content you may want to keep. When iCloud sync is in use, allow the app time to sync deletions across your devices; iCloud data remains subject to Apple’s account and storage controls.

Children

PimCue is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
